Below you'll find information on our missionaries around the world.
|

Tommy Dyo
Tommy Dyo is the first National Director for Campus Crusade of the Epic Movement, whose outreach is to Asian-American students in all U.S. universities served by Campus Crusade. He reached out to the students of Virginia Tech the day after the tragedy there. His vision is to save Asian-American students but, then, for them to take the Gospel to all parts of the world, and especially Asia, including Japan.

Mitsuo and Akiko Fujishima
Mitsuo and Akiko Fujishima are missionaries with SEND, International whose mission it is to Start churches, Evangelize the unreached, Nurture disciples and Develop leaders from among the national people. They have served in Japan for many years now.

Joanna Hodges
Joanna Hodges is, with the late Dr. Hodges, one of the founders of and the main spokesperson for the Good Samaritan Hospital in Haiti. Haiti is the poorest country in the northern hemisphere and ravaged by lawless-ness, poverty and disease. The hospital is a Christian organization, one of the largest of its kind in Haiti where it serves 3,000 people every month.

Derek and Yoshimi Johnson
Derek and Yoshimi Johnson are, of course, Kouichi Ikeda's brother-in-law and sister. Derek was a Bible Teacher. In April, we shared many reasons for God sending the Johnsons to serve Him. You know from the July Messenger, however, that the government refused to renew their visas, forcing them to leave. Derek and Yoshimi are positive that they succeeded in accomplishing what God sent them to do. They are on a year's leave-their first in eight years, and seek to return to where they served for seven years.

Ernie and Yoko Kilbourne
Ernie and Yoko Kilbourne are now retired and living in Fresno. Ernie's father was one of the founders of what is now OMS Japan, the conference that Lillian Shinoda serves jointly in, and Ernie began one of the first churches in our own OMS Holiness Conference. Because they are "retired," our support of them is minimal but Ernie still goes overseas with the Message and visits us!

Charleen Kiyabu
Charleen Kiyabu is a principal of Campus Crusade for Christ's JESUS FILM Project and recently moved from San Clemente to Orlando, Florida. She's responsible for all the preparation necessary for outreach with the JESUS FILM in all parts of the world but most recently, particularly in the Mid East and Africa.

Greg and Nancy Nakamura
Greg and Nancy Nakamura are also from San Fernando Holiness and serve with ZOE Ministries, International at the orphanage in Chiang Mai, Thailand (where our own Pam Homhuan went, with Essie Zoriki and Chiyoko Kobayashi in 2004, and where Susan Kakimi visited earlier this year). Greg and Nancy are committed to rescuing young girls and boys, and women, from poverty and prostitution and transforming their lives with God's saving love.

Mitsu and Karen Nakamura
Mitsu and Karen Nakamura are serving with Japan Campus Crusade for Christ. Mitsu teaches Japanese Campus Crusade staff members and is the principal organizer for Campus Crusade's outreach in Japan. He and Karen have a heart for reaching out to non-Christians through Saddleback Church's "Recovery" Program which seeks to help those with mental illnesses and addictions. Karen reaches out to the mothers and children.

Pauline Nishida
Pauline Nishida is from San Fernando Holiness Church and is ministering with Campus Crusade for Christ primarily to people of the inner city in New York but also plays a big role for Campus Crusade organizing similar operations in a number of other U.S. cities.

Lillian Shinoda
Lillian Shinoda is from L.A. Holiness and the only missionary sent by our OMS Holiness Conference. She served in Japan since the 1990's, most recently as Dean of Women at Tokyo Biblical Seminary (though not now) and at Sakado Christ Church. She will be one of the key missionary evangelists for Christ in all of Japan, reaching out to its young people.

Roy and Nancy Toma
Roy and Nancy Toma are serving Campus Crusade for Christ in Okinawa, Japan whose people the Tomas and their children have rededicated themselves to serving. One of the initiatives that we haven't heard of anywhere else is the teaming up of the long-term missionaries like Roy and Nancy with many short-term missionaries-college students from South Korea-as they reach out to the university campuses of Okinawa.
